Context:
Due to the long lasting conflict, many families face serious difficulties and are not able to provide their children suitable school equipment and clothes. Local school clothes factories don’t produce anymore because of unavailable fuel and high costs of raw materials. Many areas are isolated from medical facilities, only 43 % of hospitals were able to provide health services that time.
Project goals:
To help the children of the displaced families by providing material assistance. To contribute to availability of health services in north Syria. To provide humanitarian aid for vulnerable and internally displaced families in Damascus.
Implementation and results:
- 178 school supplies vouchers and 178 vouchers for school clothes were distributed in order to provide essential equipment for children.
- In total 5 000 people received health assistance in the Idleb and Hama areas through a mobile clinic
- 80 internally displaced families benefited from food vouchers for a period of 3 months.
- 174 families received non-food vouchers for clothing and another 174 families received voucher for household equipment.
