Ongoing projects

Project goals:
To contribute to the sustainable and equitable development of communities in Syria: To build the capacity of civil society actors in Northwest Syria as reliable partners in local development processes, capable of proposing innovative ideas and approaches which address community challenges and promote sustainable and positive change in a participative manner.
Implementation and results:
- 30 CSOs with improved capacities
- 15% of CSOs start to be active in the field of nexus or sustainable development
- 500 CSO staff (mostly youth, at least 200 women) trained in business development and community leadership
- Op1: Lead CSO (Violet) has increased capacity in nexus programming and youth leadership.
- Op2: Local CSOs have been empowered through skill development to identify community needs and address them through inclusive, participative and transparently implemented small projects led by youth volunteers.
- Op3: Local CSOs have established partnerships through an online and in-person network to identify jointly community needs and challenges to be addressed by small community projects.
- Op4: Local communities have benefited from small community projects implemented with financial support to third parties targeting vulnerable groups.
